About Us

 

 

Karen Kavalin is a beloved first grade teacher at Franklin Elementary School. She is a gifted educator with over 20 years’ teaching experience, who recognizes and celebrates the talents and strengths in everyone.

 

 

 

 

Rosanne L. Kurstedt, Ph.D., is an adjunct literacy professor at Fordham University. She presents at national and international conferences on topics related to literacy, is an educational consultant. She is co-authored “Teaching Writing with Picture Books as Models” (Scholastic, Inc., 2000) and the author of the acclaimed children’s book “And I Thought About You.”

 

 

 

 

Lindsey Dubman is a fourth grade teacher at Franklin Elementary School where she has also taught second grade. She has two Masters degrees: one in Education and one in Administration, which speaks to her belief in continued learning and advanced studies.
