Rosanne L. Kurstedt, Ph.D., is an educator, author, and professional development leader with over 30 years of experience supporting learners of all ages. Whether she’s writing picture books or partnering with teachers, Rosanne believes in the power of stories to build connection, spark curiosity, and foster growth.

Her children’s books help families and educators nurture early childhood development, cooperative play, and social-emotional learning. With titles like Sticks vs. Stones, And I Think About You, and Karate Kid Rosanne brings heart, humor, and practical insights to every page—and to every visit.

Rosanne’s professional journey spans classroom teaching in NYC, founding member of international school in Hong Kong, teaching future educators as an adjunct professor, and leading instructional design at a major educational publisher. She’s the author of several professional books for teachers and the founder of The Author Experience, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing literacy in underserved communities.
